Let’s take a look at the background checks and steps for joining IIP as an Authorised Rep.

The process can take about 4 - 6 weeks.

Compliance and Background Checks

Before we do anything, the very first thing we need, we need to obtain your Prospective Authorised Representative Consent.

This is an industry standard form that allows us to do two things:

  1. Collect Your Information and,

  2. Contact your current and previous licensee/s to obtain a compliance history report - known as the Reference Request.

We will send you your Prospective Authorised Representative Consent for signature.

Create an account to iComply2

iComply2 is our mandatory compliance software - although it does a lot more than just compliance management.

We will send you a link to create your account, or you can create an account on the button below.

Once you create an account, we can share your Onboarding Project with you.

The Onboarding Project

Your onboarding project is a secure task management project where you can upload your personal documentation and track your onboarding progress.

You will be able to see what we are working on from our end, and also track any tasks you need to complete. It is a secure communication tool between you and us.

Data Collection

To do our background and compliance checks, we will need to collect:

  • Your Identification.

  • Qualification Certificates (Certified).

  • FASEA Exam Results.

  • Run a criminal history check.

  • Search the banned and disqualified register.

  • Assess your qualifications to meet the Professional Standards

  • Contact your current, and previous licensees for the Reference Request.

Accessing Your Onboarding Project

Once logged in to iComply2, choose 'Projects’ from the Apps menu.

The Projects App will open in a new tab.

From the Recent Projects widget, you will see the AR Onboarding Project.

This is your project to upload documentation and follow the onboarding process with our compliance team.

You can upload the documents into the tasks assigned to you.

Once uploaded, mark the task as ‘Done’ to notify our compliance team that you have completed the task.

Offboarding From Your Current Licensee

If you are changing licensee, contact your current licensee and notify them of your decision to move licensee.

Your current licensee will have an offboarding procedure. You will need to notify your clients of your decision, and provide them the opportunity to stay with your current licensee.

Your current licensee will be able to guide you on sending client notifications and any other tasks to be completed before transferring.

Authorised Rep & Sub-Authorised Rep Agreements

We will assist with setting up your practice in your CRM and organise all your advice templates

If you use Xplan, and you are transferring licensee, you will need to complete a data migration from your current Xplan site. Iress will provide a quote to complete the data migration. We can assist with scheduling the migration with Iress and liaising with your current Xplan site manager.

If you are using the iComply2 App for your CRM, we will set up your advice templates and have you ready to go at the time of authorisation.

Assuming all the background checks are passed and your current licensee has been notified, we can move to the next stage.

You will need to sign AR and Sub-AR Agreements.

For the first few months, we will schedule a regular online meeting to complete the induction training, and answer any queries you have. Every adviser has different needs at different stages of their business, so we can tailor the training to your needs
